"Mobile Home Remodel"
THOUGHTS AND RAMBLINGS
my little blog was created for me and a few friends to watch and keep track of "Little Cabin's" transformation....and if others pop in and enjoy, I'm happy...
it's simple...stuff is added when I have time...
and....it's ONLY about little cabin....her previous meager existence...and her emergence into a warm, quiet, fun, relaxing retreat.
All you mobile home owners out there check out this great mobile home blog: Mobile Home Living.

The right side of my original photos are blurry....why you say? The day I took them I was so tired from working that I thought my eyes were tired and not focusing. In reality it was a finger smudge on the lens of the camera. Got a kick our of myself when I realized what had happened.
August is not a good time of year to begin remodeling a mobile home. Especially one that has 2 barely working air conditioners, both scarcely hanging from the windows in which they were placed. The weather was in the 100's and my little tuna can reeked of leftover odors from cigarettes and a dog...not a good picture.
My role model for this endeavor... MY AUNT MARY, who encouraged me all along the way by listening and laughing with me. She was a fixer-upper and remodeler...and I would follow in her footsteps!?!

Kathy - this place looks divine! I can see why you went back and forth about your FIREplace. What a beauty flanked by the gorgeous book shelves. I think the marriage was made in Heaven. How absolutely divine! And the walls and floor are so beautiful too. Wouldn't believe that this is all inside a mobile home! Great work lady!

I live in a mobile too, and just found your blog. I love this wall. We had our tv on the the same wall, and now our sectional is in the corner. I have been thinking of doing something similar. Very, very lovely. I have a few pictures on my blog of our remodels if you'd like to check it out. http://re-purposedrestorations-rachel.blogspot.com/
The fireplace is beautiful. We have been considering getting a fireplace for our mobile home also, which as it turns out, is the same dimensions as yours, but were unsure about what size to get. What are the dimensions on yours please?
